Starting New Chapters

I still can't get over the fact that some of our friends are married with kids. It's trippy to think back to some of the more questionable/irresponsible things they've done in the past and now here they are, raising miniature people or trying to conceive.

Aaron and I were recently at a friend's house hanging out with friends and their kids. And while I'm extremely happy for them and their new families, every now and then I kept thinking, "ooh, I know what you did in a dive bar once while really, really drunk' or, 'I know you're with your significant other but you so cheated a few times and not so long ago.' Kind of wrong, I know, but like I said, these were just the thoughts that popped in there.

Granted, I know no one has a spotless past, but still... it's kind of trippy watching people you know become parents. It really does change everything.

So anyhoo, it looks like the dearth of job interviews may be coming to an end, or at least a short reprieve. I have an interview set up for next week and I got a call for another one which I hope to set up tomorrow. So I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope like hell one of these pans out. It would be so lovely to rejoin the workforce and be able to pick where my life left off.
